Shipping Policy

This page explains how parts.zuma.ca ships within Canada, how long delivery takes, and how shipping and freight are charged. We aim to be clear about cost up front so there are no surprises.

Where we ship

We ship to every Canadian province and territory. Cross-border delivery into the United States is available for approved accounts on request. We do not ship outside North America.

How parts ship

Small and medium parts ship by parcel carrier (Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, or Purolator). Heavy, long, or oversized parts ship by LTL freight on a pallet. The size and weight of the part decide which method applies.

How shipping is charged

For parcel orders, shipping is calculated and charged at checkout based on weight, destination, and the service level you choose.

For LTL freight, any figure shown at checkout is an estimate. We confirm the final freight cost with you before the part ships and before we charge it, so you are never billed a surprise amount. You can also ask us for a firm freight quote before you order. Freight may appear as a separate confirmed charge or on the supplier invoice.

Taxes (GST or HST, and BC PST where it applies) are shown separately from the part price and the shipping cost.

Delivery times

Most in-stock parts ship within one to two business days. Ground delivery usually arrives in three to seven business days within Canada, and expedited options are available for urgent orders. These are estimates, not guarantees; special-order and back-ordered parts take longer.

Receiving an LTL freight delivery

The carrier contacts you to arrange delivery. Someone must be present to receive the shipment, sign the bill of lading, and help offload. Have a forklift or loading dock ready for palletised freight.

Damage and claims

Inspect every shipment before you sign. Note any damage on the carrier's delivery receipt, photograph it, and refuse a clearly damaged parcel if you can. Report concealed damage to us the same day. We help file the carrier claim and arrange a replacement when the harm happened in transit.

Backorders

If a part is on backorder we tell you the expected date and offer to hold or cancel. On multi-line orders we can ship in-stock parts first and the rest when they arrive. See our Returns and Refunds policy for order changes.
